World Language Classes Connect with Other Schools

World Language Classes Connect with Other Schools

Before spring break, our Chinese and French classes had the chance to get off campus and make connections with students from other schools.

In Ms. Lin’s Chinese V class, students took a field trip to Denver Language School to meet with kindergarteners and first graders. Our Sun Devils had written stories in Chinese about courage and compassion, which they shared with the younger students. Everyone had a great time connecting through laughter, dancing and fun!

As part of our French program, AP and Advanced Topics students came together with students from Colorado Academy for a joint songwriting workshop with Congolese-Belgian artist Big Samir. Now based in Colorado, Big Samir shared his journey and the heart behind his music through a fun and interactive day—complete with original songs composed in French by our Sun Devils.
