Thanksgiving Tradition: 6th Grade Makes Pies

Thanksgiving Tradition: 6th Grade Makes Pies

Our 6th graders got a head start on the Thanksgiving holiday Thursday morning—whipping up pies in Schaden Dining Hall. Carrying on the beloved Kent Denver tradition, each of our 79 students made either an apple or pumpkin pie for Capitol Hill Community Services. Over Thanksgiving break, members of Kent Denver’s boys and girls varsity basketball teams will serve a turkey meal, with the pies as dessert, at Trinity United Church in downtown Denver. This is a tradition that’s been going strong for more than 30 years!
