Sun Devils Explore Iceland Over Spring Break

Thirteen Sun Devils traveled to Iceland over spring break for an unforgettable adventure with Ms. Haas and Dr. Gubitz. Despite severe weather in Iceland delaying the start of their trip, the group made the most of every moment—learning about the country’s geothermal landscapes and marveling at its one-of-a-kind beauty. 

From relaxing in the famous Blue Lagoon geothermal spa and discovering Iceland’s Viking heritage, to exploring towering waterfalls and a volcanic caldera, this educational excursion offered students a hands-on exploration of the country’s unique intersection of science, culture and sustainability. The group was also incredibly fortunate to witness the Northern Lights!
