Sun Devils Compete in Math Contests

Sun Devils Compete in Math Contests

Each year, our Upper School students have the chance to show off their math skills by participating in a variety of math competitions. Last semester, students attended Colorado State University’s Math Day, a contest that is done “game-show style.” For each round, two teams go head-to-head. The proctor asks a question out loud, and teams have one minute to answer. The first team to buzz in with the correct answer gets a point.

All three Kent Denver teams made it to the top 8, where they were then pitted against each other. While knocking out Team 2, Team 1 advanced all the way to the semifinals. Congrats to these teams of students for their hard work!
