Students Shine at Innovation Symposium

Students Shine at Innovation Symposium

On the evening of Monday, December 15, more than 70 Middle and Upper School students presented Innovation Scholar and Independent Study projects during the Fall Innovation Symposium. The projects encompassed a wide range of student interests, from health and fashion to literature and engineering.

The night wrapped up with Kent Denver’s third-annual Innovation Creation Competition. In the competition, judges received 5-minute pitches from students with business or venture ideas and chose the best ideas for first- and second-place prizes, while the audience decided the Audience Choice Award.

Congratulations to Sohan ’27 and Shreyas ’27 for winning the Innovation Creation Competition with their product, The Aquapuck, an accessory that attaches to your favorite water bottle to track daily water consumption. They were awarded $200 in funding for their first-place finish. Charles ’28 and John ’28 placed second and won $100 for their AI educational tool, WriteGuard. The Audience Choice Award and $100 went to Noah ’27, Shane ’27 and Blake ’27 for Boil Block, a kitchen tool that prevents pasta-related cooking mishaps.
