Students Qualify for National Speech and Debate Tournament
Two Kent Denver students have earned spots at the National Speech & Debate Tournament this June! At last weekend’s Colorado District National Qualifying Tournament, held at Cherry Creek High School, Lucas V. ‘27 secured a third-place finish in Original Oratory, while Noah H. ‘26 placed third in United States Extemporaneous Speaking—both earning spots to compete for the National Championship in Des Moines, IA. Additionally, Matilda V. ‘25 achieved a fifth-place finish in Dramatic Interpretation, making her a second alternate for Nationals. The entire Sun Devil Speech and Debate team wrapped up an outstanding season, demonstrating remarkable talent and competitive spirit. Congratulations to all on a fantastic year!
