Speech & Debate Students Qualify for Nationals

The success of Kent Denver’s Speech & Debate program continues! Five students earned their spot at nationals after a tremendous performance at the Colorado NSDA National Qualifying Tournament hosted at Cherry Creek last month.

Congratulations to Isa ’27 (1st place, Lincoln-Douglas Debate), Suleman ’26 (2nd place, International Extemporaneous), Kaitlin ’27 (3rd place, Dramatic Interpretation), Charlie ’26 (3rd place, Humorous Interpretation) and Lucas ’27 (4th place, Original Oratory) for qualifying for the 2026 National Speech & Debate Tournament in Richmond, Virginia in June!

We’d also like to congratulate Samuel ’27 (Semifinalist, International Extemporaneous), along with juniors Ethan and Trisha (Octafinalists, Public Forum Debate), for a great showing. As a whole, Kent Denver placed 3rd in Debate, 4th in Speech and 3rd overall. Job well done to our entire Speech & Debate team on an incredible season!
