Speech & Debate Shines in Recent Tournaments

Our Speech and Debate team has had a busy past few weeks. On January 24, the team attended the Cougar Clash at Cherokee Trail High School, and Suleman ’26 won first place in International Extemporaneous Speaking! Two other students placed in Dramatic Interpretation, with Eli ’27 earning fourth and Clara ’28 taking fifth.

This past weekend on January 31, our team attended the Flying Falcon Classic at DSST: Cedar High School and came away with a handful of awards. Suleman placed third in International Extemporaneous Speaking, followed by Sam ’27 in fourth and Jamie ’26 in sixth. Connor ’28 took eighth place in United States Extemporaneous Speaking, and Clara placed ninth in Dramatic Interpretation. Congratulations to our Sun Devils on a job well done!
