Opening Our Campus to the Academic Community

Opening Our Campus to the Academic Community

This semester, Kent Denver welcomed a variety of groups to campus as part of our ongoing commitment to giving back, fostering collaboration and sharing knowledge with our peers.

In March, we were the site of the Colorado Chinese Language Teachers Consortium's spring workshop, blending cutting-edge professional development with rich cultural immersion. Throughout the day, educators explored forward-thinking pedagogy by focusing on the practical integration of AI tools and dynamic classroom activities designed to boost student engagement and language acquisition. In addition to these technological strategies, attendees participated in hands-on cultural arts, which included learning a Chinese Kung Fu fan dance, folding origami horses, painting bamboo and pandas with traditional calligraphy brushes and experiencing a Chinese tea ceremony.

Last month, we hosted a number of Denver-area school professionals for a Colorado Diversity Network professional development workshop focused on discovering how to stay anchored in the midst of overwhelm.

After Continuation and Commencement wrap-up next week, we’ll welcome educators from across the country to campus for the first-ever Colorado Science of Learning Institute. Over the course of two days, attendees will dive into the research, strategies, principles and mindsets of the Science of Learning.

Kent Denver's reputation for excellence—both in our people and our campus—continues to expand, and we’re honored to provide a place for others to learn and grow.
