Middle School Dominates at Cross Country Meets

Middle School Dominates at Cross Country Meets
The Middle School Cross Country team is off to a successful start! With three meets already under their belts, the students kicked off the season with a bang at the Slavens Invitational on September 6, which hosted 1,355 middle school runners in six race categories. As one of the largest middle school races in the state, our athletes put up an impressive performance—Lexi L. ’31 placed third in the 6th grade girls race, while Iggy C. ’29Conor C. ’29Caelen C. ’29Sebastian K. ’29Mason M. ’30Liam O. ’29 and Brecken P. ’29 took second as a team in the 7/8 Boys A race. Guest runner Jack Z. '29, who plays middle school football, also had a great meet—placing first in the 7/8 Boys B race.

Last week, the Sun Devil runners hosted a home meet against Denver Christian, Stanley British Primary and International School of Denver. Once again Lexi L., this time joined by Lily W. ’31, finished in the top five amongst girls, and the boys team scored a perfect score for a cross country meet—placing in all of the top five positions. Way to go, Sun Devils!
