Kent Denver Students & Faculty Participate in POCC

Each December, Kent Denver sends a delegation of students and employees to the National Association of Independent Schools People of Color Conference (POCC) and Student Diversity Leadership Conference (SDLC). This year, Denver was the conference host city, allowing attendance by a record 25 Kent Denver employees and trustees and six students (the maximum allowed by SDLC). Additionally, Kent Denver’s Soular Wave band had the honor of kicking off the conference as the opening performer for the first general session, giving a flawless performance of “Fantasy” by Earth, Wind and Fire for the conference’s 8,000 attendees.
