Kent Denver Innovators Win Startup Competition

Huge congratulations are in order for our student innovators! This past weekend, juniors Shreyas and Sohan took home first place in CU Boulder’s High School New Venture Challenge (HSNVC) for their startup, AquaPuck, an accessory that attaches to your favorite water bottle to track water consumption. The duo won a $10,000 scholarship and had the opportunity to pitch their company alongside the collegiate finalists in the New Venture Challenge on Wednesday. 

As the biggest high school startup competition in the state, the HSNVC is designed to bring entrepreneurial learning and innovative mindsets to high school students across Colorado. Two other Kent Denver teams reached the competition's semifinals. Congratulations to juniors Blake, Shane and Noah for their invention, BoilBlock, as well as sophomore Emery for his business, Outsmart Travel.
