Kent Denver Hosts Students from Uganda

Kent Denver Hosts Students from Uganda

On Friday, December 12, Kent Denver welcomed 16 Ugandan students to campus for a day of learning, exploration and fun. The group enjoyed a tour of campus before being immersed in a variety of art, math and science classes—interacting and engaging with Kent Denver students throughout the day.

After school, the students had fun in the Middle School Impact Studio making mini neon signs and then spent time with the Upper School BioMed and GAINS clubs, as well as the Robotics team. At the end of the day, each student went home with some Kent Denver swag to help them remember their experience as a Sun Devil.

The students’ visit was coordinated through our partners at WorldDenver and was part of the On-Demand Youth Leadership Program, a three-week exchange program focused on STEAM and youth leadership development, organized by Legacy International and the U.S. Department of State.
