Kent Denver French Classes Connect Across Grade Levels

Kent Denver’s French program is helping middle and upper school language learners create connections. Recently, Valerie Genin’s 6th-grade French 1A students made books about themselves, sharing some of their favorite things. Upper School students in Maud Sullivan’s Advanced Topics in French class then spent time reading the books to learn more about the middle schoolers.

As another way to strengthen their connections, the 6th graders submitted questions to the upper schoolers, who answered in French over video. The older students also shared their best advice, encouraging the middle schoolers as they continue to learn the language.
