KDS Students Compete in Regional Science Bowl

KDS Students Compete in Regional Science Bowl

Our student scientists had an incredible showing this past Saturday at the Colorado Regional High School Science Bowl, held at Metropolitan State University. Kent Denver sent two teams to the competition, where students were tested on everything from biology, chemistry and physics to mathematics, energy and earth and space sciences.

Both teams competed through the morning rounds, with Team A finishing first in its division, allowing the students to advance to the afternoon competition. They made it all the way to the Elite 8—Kent Denver’s highest finish ever! This is just the second year that Kent Denver has competed at the Science Bowl, and Science Department Chair Dr. Mary Fran Park says our students are already looking forward to continuing the tradition next year!
