KDS Basketball Teams Begin Playoff Push

KDS Basketball Teams Begin Playoff Push

March is here, which means it’s officially basketball bracket season! While the NCAA tournaments are still a couple of weeks away, the madness is officially underway on the Colorado high school hoops scene. Both our girls and boys varsity basketball teams are top-3 seeds heading into the 4A state playoffs—with first- and second-round games taking place Friday, March 6 and Saturday, March 7 right here at Kent Denver!

Kent Denver is the No. 3 seed in the girls playoff bracket. Our Sun Devils play No. 30 Fort Lupton Friday at 4:30 p.m. in Yates Pavilion. If they win that, they’ll advance to the second round on Saturday at noon. Meanwhile, our defending state champion boys team is the top overall seed in the boys bracket—setting up a first-round matchup against No. 32 Berthoud. That game tips off Friday, right after the girls game, at 6 p.m. If the Sun Devils win, they’ll play again Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the second round.
