Journalism Students Travel to Philly

From November 7-10, Upper School students involved in Kent Denver’s newspaper, The Sun Devils’ Advocate, traveled to Philadelphia for one of the largest journalism conferences in the country—boasting more than 1,300 student competitors from all 50 states and England. Congratulations to the following Kent Denver students for being recognized:

• Evie A. ’27: Honorable Mention in Press Law and Ethics
• Kendall A. ’27: Honorable Mention in News Writing
• Raffi P. ’26: Honorable Mention in Sports Writing

The Middle School newspaper, The Scoop, also won third place in the national Best of Show contest! Journalism students have the opportunity to attend another national conference in Seattle at the end of April.
