It’s been a December to remember at Kent Denver School! From festive community events to fun advisory activities, we’re heading into winter break feeling grateful for our amazing community of Sun Devils. Please enjoy this holiday video as we look back on some of our favorite memories.
We started off the month with a Community Shabbat Dinner that saw more than 100 people come together to enjoy food and friendship in Schaden Dining Hall. Our dining hall staff, in partnership with the Equity & Community Engagement team, also helped us get into the spirit with festive decorations celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa.
Upper School students continued the festivities as we were treated to three nights of musical entertainment during our Winter Music Showcase—check out the live performances! Advisories also had fun decorating gingerbread houses, and the Class of 2025 enjoyed a night of friendly competition during the annual Senior Trivia Night on Wednesday, December 18.
Over in the Middle School, students made resin-cast dreidels during a special workshop in the Impact Studio before school on Wednesday, which they then used to play during lunch on Thursday. The last day of school wrapped up with a gingerbread house competition and talent show, featuring singing, dancing and musical numbers from 6th, 7th and 8th graders—as well as a DJ performance from Mr. Spann!
During the last week of school, both Middle and Upper School students brought their spirit with daily dress-up days—flannels, PJs, ugly sweaters and more! Enjoy the photo gallery below of all the fun we’ve had this past month.
