GAINS Students Explore Mines Campus

GAINS Students Explore Mines Campus

Kent Denver’s GAINS (Girls Advancing in STEM) Club enjoyed an all-day field trip Wednesday to Colorado School of Mines, where eight KDS students explored campus, met up with alum Cate ’23 for a tour of the environmental chemistry lab, learned about a research group analyzing the sustainability of cement production and browsed the campus bookstore.

GAINS inspires and empowers all students—especially high school girls—to envision, prepare for and pursue academic and professional futures in STEM. Upper School students interested in learning more about GAINS can contact club sponsors Dr. Mary Fran Park and Emily Danitz.
