Congratulations, Dr. Nick Weingardt!

Congratulations, Dr. Nick Weingardt!

Kent Denver is thrilled to share that Nick Weingardt—our Associate Director of Information, Innovation Scholars & Libraries—recently completed his Doctor of Education (EdD) degree!

A friendly face in both the Middle and Upper School libraries, Dr. Weingardt spent the past three years earning his degree from the University of Colorado Denver’s School of Education & Human Development, as part of a practice-based program for educators who want to tackle complex educational challenges and advance equity in real schools and communities.

His dissertation, Defining and Implementing Student Decision-Making: A Qualitative Comparison Case Study of Independent School Administrators, delves deeply into how schools like ours can better support students in making informed decisions about their learning—a vital area that enhances student agency and engagement here at Kent Denver.

“What stands out most about Nick is that he consistently devises innovative approaches to complex ideas, identifying patterns and possibilities where most of us see problems,” said Staci Lapis, Kent Denver’s new Dean of Information and Innovation.

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Weingardt on this incredible milestone! We are immensely proud to have his expertise and passion supporting our Kent Denver community.
