Celebrating a Successful Spring Sports Season

Celebrating a Successful Spring Sports Season

The 2025-26 sports year has officially come to a close for Kent Denver Athletics, and we are so proud of all our students and coaches for their tremendous hard work, steadfast commitment and incredible success throughout these past nine months.

This past week was certainly one to celebrate, as our Sun Devils ended the spring season strong. Congratulations to the varsity girls soccer team on finishing as the 3A state runner-up after an exciting regular season and an impressive run through the state playoffs! After winning the first three playoff games by a combined score of 26-0, and then beating Jefferson Academy 4-2 in the state semifinals, Kent Denver lost a hard-fought game in the state final on Tuesday to Colorado Academy by a score of 2-1.

Our varsity girls golf team—featuring Kaia ’28, Reese ’28, Sammy ’29 and Hannah ’29—also had a strong showing at state. The Sun Devils took 5th place out of 12 teams in the 2A state tournament, with Kaia leading the way and taking eighth place individually out of nearly 80 golfers.

In track and field, Boston University commit Alex ’26 closed out her sensational Kent Denver career with another state title in the 100-meter hurdles, her second consecutive year winning the event. Our girls team took 6th place overall out of more than 30 teams, and the boys team placed 12th. Read below for a list of all our individual podium finishers.

In varsity baseball, Kent Denver’s season came to an end last weekend after losing to Alamosa in regionals. The Sun Devils finished the year with a 12-11 overall record. Levi ’27 led the team with 22 runs batted in and 27 hits, and Will ’27 shined on the mound with a team-best ERA of 3.68.
