Boys Soccer Advances to State Championship

Boys Soccer Advances to State Championship

The Kent Denver boys soccer team is heading to the state championship! The No. 4 ranked Sun Devils beat The Academy last night 2-0 in the CHSAA 3A state semifinals thanks to a pair of goals from senior Josiah. They will now play No. 3 Steamboat Springs in the state title game this Saturday, November 15 at noon at Switchbacks Weidner Field in Colorado Springs.

An hour later that same day, the Kent Denver football team will also be playing in Colorado Springs in the 2A state quarterfinals at The Classical Academy—just a 20-minute drive north of Weidner Field. The No. 6 ranked Sun Devils got a big 48-14 win over Lamar last Saturday in the first round of the playoffs, and they will now play the No. 3 ranked Titans at 1 p.m. Saturday for a chance to advance to the state semifinals.

As we aim to finish the fall athletics season off strong, we’re also looking forward to the winter sports season that officially kicks off on Monday, November 17. We can’t wait to cheer on our student-athletes in boys and girls basketball, ice hockey and girls swimming and diving. Click here to meet our winter sport head coaches. And don’t forget to save the date for our Winter Showdown Series—taking place Tuesday, February 3 at the University of Denver. Go Sun Devils!
