Arty Smith to be Featured in Teaching Documentary

Kent Denver’s very own Arty Smith is nationally recognized as an innovator in the classroom. As an Upper School math teacher, he strives to make numbers meaningful and relevant to students—just ask his AP Statistics or Honors Data Analytics classes.

To highlight his efforts, a videographer from What School Could Be was on campus at the end of April, capturing footage of Mr. Smith teaching Honors Data Analytics and interviewing some of his students for a documentary. Once complete, the documentary will be available on the Innovation Playlist, a resource designed to help teachers and school leaders move toward a more student-driven model of learning. Stay tuned for a link to the documentary once it’s released later this year!
