Kent Denver believes that students learn and grow when they are given the freedom, time and opportunity to explore, create, compete and have fun—both inside and outside of class. We support students’ minds, bodies and spirits through our engaging clubs and electives, as well as our robust wellness, academics and college counseling support.

The Kent Denver community is great! If you come here, you’ll make a lot of friends and have so much fun. You’ll love the teachers and the education here—and the view of the mountains! Evan D.Class of 2029

A Day in the Life

Every day at Kent Denver is full of learning, growth, creativity, exploration and fun! Get a taste of life on campus through our weekly Viewpoints photo gallery, and explore what a student’s day at Kent Denver looks like with our interactive schedule below.

We operate on a rotating seven-day schedule (Days A-G) with five periods a day. Each period meets five times during the seven-day cycle. Students in the Middle School will take six classes with additional time built in for advisory, electives, community time, recess and seminars. Upper School students will also take six classes, and each student will have an additional individual free period.

Kent Denver is a great place to be. It’s helped me foster a bunch of different interests. Everyone can try everything, which is nice. It allows you to really figure out what you like so you can learn your true personality. Lucas Z.Class of 2024

Our Traditions

The Kent Denver experience isn't complete without our beloved traditions. Your journey as a Sun Devil is marked by these pivotal moments—opportunities to bond as a community, cheer each other on, serve others and celebrate your growth.

Serving Thanksgiving Meals

For the past 30+ years, sixth-graders have made dozens of pies, and KDS families donate cooked turkeys in the week leading up to Thanksgiving. Coaches and players from Kent Denver’s basketball program then serve the food during Capitol Hill Community Services’ Thanksgiving meal in downtown Denver.

College Care Packages

To show our most recent graduates that we’re still thinking of them, KDS sends each college freshman a care package—filled with freshly-baked cookies, tea, mints and personalized notes of encouragement signed by current students, teachers, coaches and administrators—ahead of their first round of finals. Former head football coach Scott Yates started this tradition more than 30 years ago.
