The Showdown SeriesIn 2024, KDS Athletics announced a new and exciting chapter in the storied sports rivalry between Kent Denver and Colorado Academy—the Showdown Series.
This special event happens once each sports season and features crosstown matchups between the Sun Devils and Mustangs across many teams.
Winter Showdown: February 4, 2025
Following is the schedule for the 2025 Winter Showdown on Tuesday, February 4 at the University of Denver's Ritchie Center:
4:30 p.m. — Boys Basketball in Hamilton Gymnasium
6 p.m. — Girls Basketball in Hamilton Gymnasium
8 p.m. — Ice Hockey in Magness Arena
Alumni & Alumni Families: RSVP here and join the Office of Alumni Relations at a special reception on the Club Level of Magness Arena during the games!
Other Notes:
- Admission is free for all three games.
- Fans of Kent Denver are encouraged to wear navy blue to cheer on our Sun Devils.
- The University of Denver strictly enforces a clear bag policy for all sporting events. You can find details here.
- Parking is available for a $10 fee—use Lot L (on Asbury Ave. between University and Gaylord).
