The Showdown SeriesIn 2024, KDS Athletics announced a new and exciting chapter in the storied sports rivalry between Kent Denver and Colorado Academy—the Showdown Series.
This special event happens once each sports season and features crosstown matchups between the Sun Devils and Mustangs across many teams.
Winter Showdown: Tuesday, February 3
Below is the schedule for the 2026 Winter Showdown games on Tuesday, February 3 at the University of Denver's Ritchie Center:
- Girls Basketball at 4 p.m. in Hamilton Gymnasium
- Boys Basketball at 5:30 p.m. in Hamilton Gymnasium
- Ice Hockey at 7 p.m. in Magness Arena
It's officially a white out, so be sure to wear white to represent Kent Denver. The Kent Denver Spirit Wear Store will have a pop-up shop at DU during the games, so you can get your Kent Denver swag. We hope to see you there to cheer on our Sun Devils!

- Admission is free for all three games.
- The University of Denver strictly enforces a clear bag policy for all sporting events. You can find details here.
- Parking is available for a $10 fee—use Lot L (on Asbury Ave. between University and Gaylord) or Lot C (off High St. and Buchtel Blvd.).
