Class of 2024 Celebrates New Tradition
A student’s Kent Denver experience is full of traditions—Opening Day, Fall Retreats, Ethics Day, Career Intern Experience, Senior Projects—each one a hallmark of what it means to be a Sun Devil.
The night before their graduation rehearsal (and a week before the real thing!), the Class of 2024 gathered together on the Upper Fields for a new tradition—Senior Sunset.
A popular end-of-year celebration at many schools, Senior Sunset was introduced to the Kent Denver community by CIE Coordinator Jake Ocon, who enjoyed the tradition during his own time in school. Sun Devils started the evening reflecting on their CIE and Senior Projects in small groups before heading outside as a class to play games, listen to music and just bask in their remaining time together as the sun descended behind the Rocky Mountains—mirroring the “sunset” of the seniors’ Kent Denver experience.
