Sun Devil Spirit in Full Swing at Alumni Homecoming & Reunion Weekend 2024

We were thrilled to welcome so many alumni back to campus during our 2024 Alumni Homecoming & Reunion Weekend in September! Highlights included:

• Kick-off parties on Friday evening organized by the Classes of 1974, 1994 and 2004.
• Campus tours with Head of School David Braemer. Attendees even got a sneak peek at the newly renovated and reopened Gates Science and Magness Technology Centers.
• The rededication of DeSo Field in memory of Justin DeSorrento ’95. 
• An Alumni Field Hockey breakfast organized by alums to support the field hockey team and cheer on our athletes as they faced off against Colorado Academy in one of the weekend’s Fall Showdown Series games.
• A large crowd of alumni at the Alumni Tent, ignited by an electric victory of the football team over Denver Christian!
• Nine milestone reunion parties that brought our 4s and 9s classes back together on campus and around town. Graduates from the Class of 1969 kicked off the festivities way back in June with a 55th reunion gathering. The big milestone reunions (20th and 50th) led the weekend in September with almost 70 alums in attendance between the Class of 1974 and the Class of 2004.

“Special thanks to many of our classmates who made it to our 55th Class of 1969 Kent and Denver Country Day Reunion in June,” said Jim Arneill ’69, who helped organize the event. “How fun it was to catch up, reminisce and be back on our old campus as the first class to be there together from the previous locations! Terry Tomsick and I really enjoyed connecting with several classmates—some unable to attend—and organizing our get-together with great support from the school. Charlie ('69) and Jenny Kurtz again hosted a wonderful dinner party afterwards. We are looking forward to more fun times at our next gathering!”

Thank you to everyone who served as a class chair or host and to everyone who came to our community events. We can't wait to celebrate with you again for Alumni Homecoming Weekend 2025: September 19-20!
