Tennis
With five team state championships, several state runners-up finishes, numerous regional tournament wins, plenty more individual state champions—including back-to-back state titles in No. 1 Doubles in the 2021 and 2022 seasons—Kent Denver girls' tennis is one of Colorado's top high school tennis programs.
The program is lead by head coach Tyffani Thomas—a certified professional with the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) who has been coaching tennis for more than 15 years and playing the sport for over 25 years. She competed at both the national junior and collegiate level, where she played at Montana State University for three years before deciding to focus on her academics. Coach Thomas previously served as head boys tennis coach at Whitefish High School in Montana before taking the head coaching job at Kent Denver.
She specializes in proper technique, mechanics and foundation, as well as strategic positioning and point construction. Coach Thomas is passionate about coaching all levels—from young beginners to high performance players—and is a valuable resource to Kent Denver's student-athletes.
