Head of School David Braemer
David Braemer is Kent Denver's 15th Head of School.
Mr. Braemer came to Kent Denver in 2022 from Ensworth School in Nashville, Tennessee, where he was Head of School for 10 years. He previously served as Upper School Head at Greenhill School in Dallas and was Dean of Students at Durham Academy in North Carolina. A teacher at heart, Mr. Braemer taught history and social studies at Greenhill, Culver Academies in Indiana, Blair Academy in New Jersey and at public schools in Boston and Lawrence, Massachusetts.
Mr. Braemer's academic background includes a Master’s in Education from Boston College, participation in the Klingenstein Institute at Columbia Teachers College’s independent school leaders program, cross-cultural learning through the Fulbright Memorial Scholar program in Japan, and a B.A. from Amherst, where he was a varsity football and lacrosse player and won the Lacrosse Award for leadership and character.
