Middle School Athletics

After classes end for the day, Kent Denver middle-schoolers meet for sports or other activities. This is an important time that allows students to try new things, deepen friendships, develop athletic skills and challenge their minds and bodies! Middle School athletics also give students an opportunity to preview the sports offered in the Upper School, meet their future coaches, and create relationships with teammates that will last through high school.

Middle School students are required to participate in sports activities in all three seasons, with practices held on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Kent Denver shares a philosophy for middle school athletics and common practices with a group of local independent schools, including Colorado Academy, Denver Christian, Graland, International School of Denver, St. Anne’s Episcopal School, St. Mary’s Academy and Stanley British Primary. Learn more by downloading the group's Middle School Athletics Mission Statement.

Students who are interested in an independent sport should email Assistant Director of Athletics Ms. Kyser to discuss and receive an application form.
