Homecoming Weekend marked the 35th reunion of the Class of 1984. So, we did what we usually did on a Friday evening many years ago – we went to Karen's place and made a mess. About a third of our graduating class made it to Karen Nichols' house on Friday, Oct. 11th to reflect on the time that has passed, marvel at how Kent Denver has evolved and toast the highs and lows we've all been through. Amy Baumgartner, who is now Karen Nichols' sister-in-law, and Ann Harrison each walked a block to get to the event, while Robert Garwood, an exchange student that joined us for our senior year, popped over from London. Monica came in from Chicago and our co-host, Mark Carmain, came in from Houston. Co-host David Duncan, Class President for life, arrived from the West Coast with an abundant sampling from his vineyards, which helped all of us remember the days much more clearly. Even Will Trousdale, who was whiling away in Whistler, spent more than a couple hours on FaceTime being carted around from room to room (for which we'd like to offer condolences to Jack Grow's data plan).

Combined with a postcard perfect day on Saturday for a homecoming game, the whole weekend was a wonderful way to reconnect. What struck us most was how familiar it felt to be together, a testament to the bonds we created at Kent Denver. Endless thanks to David and Mark who organized the reunion and to Karen for hosting it at her house. We swear that vase was broken when we got there. Go Sun Devils!
