Dear Upper School Families,
I hope you are all well, taking care of yourselves and practicing social distancing. By staying apart, we are coming together!
As we prepare for remote learning to begin on Monday, March 30 at Kent Denver, I want to share some information and expectations about what this experience is going to look like for our students. These are unprecedented times, for sure, and please know that we are here for you and your children. I understand that this is new territory for us all and that the emotions we are inevitably experiencing are varied and, at times, intense. I also appreciate that we are stronger together (even online), and I am confident that we will work through this transition, entirely aware that there may be some challenges along the way. I am grateful for everyone's patience and goodwill as we—yes, we—collectively move forward.
Before and, for many, during Spring Break, teachers worked hard to train and prepare to deliver the highest quality remote learning experiences to your children. Please know all of us are committed to providing the best teaching and learning experiences we can during these next several weeks. This process is going to require some flexibility and patience on everyone's part as we explore remote learning as a community.
To help our transition to online school go as smoothly as possible, we created a number of resources, guidelines and materials. You'll find highlights below. As always, please refer to the COVID-19 information page on our website for up-to-date information and the latest schoolwide communications. Also, be sure to read tomorrow's Connection newsletter for important updates to our 2020 AP exam policy and seniors' community service and CIE requirements. Should you have any questions or need anything, don't hesitate to email me.
Again, we move forward together! Here's to our wonderful school community!
