Dear Parents and Guardians,
Yesterday, Governor Polis instructed all Colorado schools to conduct classes online until April 17 to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.
We support all efforts to "flatten the curve" of additional infection, and we have extended our plans to conduct classes remotely from March 30 until April 17 as a result. Additionally, we will continue to monitor information from local and national health organizations—and weigh input from families, employees and student leaders—as we determine the next steps in our school's ongoing response to COVID-19.
Please bookmark Kent Denver's COVID-19 Resources page and check it routinely for updates. Some changes may be posted there before an email to parents is sent. Also, please look for announcements about our school's operational status in next week's Connection and The Week Ahead newsletters.
I am exploring the option of hosting a live, online chat with parents after remote classes are successfully underway. If that concept is technologically feasible for most families, I will share details in an upcoming issue of Connection.
As always, thank you for your understanding as we navigate our new social reality. Many of you sent emails of encouragement during the past few weeks. Your support means more to me, to school administrators and to our faculty and staff than you could possibly know. Thank you!
With much gratitude,
Rand Harrington Head of School
