three hockey players celebrating

Ice HockeyKent Denver's ice hockey program has a proud tradition with two state titles and numerous state tournament appearances since launching as a varsity sport more than 20 years ago. The team made it to the 4A "Frozen Four" in the 2020-21 season and then the quarterfinals the next two years.

The team's home rink, Joy Burns Arena at the University of Denver, provides an outstanding venue for practices and competitions at the varsity and junior varsity level.

With nearly 20 years of coaching experience, Head Coach Jim Berman believes that providing opportunities for all players is key for their personal development on and off the ice. That includes honing their individual skills, as well as their ability to work with teammates and be responsible for themselves, their team and their school.
