Girls TennisWith six team state championships, several state runners-up finishes, numerous regional tournament wins and plenty more individual state champions, Kent Denver girls tennis is one of Colorado's top high school tennis programs.
Most recently, the team finished as the state runner-up in Class 4A in back-to-back seasons in 2025 and 2026. The Sun Devils have also captured 12 individual state titles in the last six years.
The program is lead by Head Coach Tyffani Thomas—a certified professional with the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) who has been coaching tennis for more than 15 years and playing the sport for over 25 years. She competed at both the national junior and collegiate level, where she played at Montana State University for three years before deciding to focus on her academics.
Coach Thomas previously served as head boys tennis coach at Whitefish High School in Montana before taking the head coaching job at Kent Denver.
The 2024 season was another notable success, with the Sun Devils clinching the team state championship for the first time since 2005—beating the two-time defending champion. Girls tennis also claimed three individual state titles in No. 1 Singles, No. 3 Doubles and No. 4 Doubles.
