Girls BasketballThe Kent Denver girls basketball team is soaring up the ranks on the Colorado preps scene. A regular in the state tournament, the Sun Devils had their best season ever in 2026, finishing as the state runner-up in Class 4A. 

Regarded as one of Colorado’s all-time best prep basketball players, Coach Abromaitis was a National High School Player of the Year, a two-time NCAA champion, a professional athlete in the WNBA and a gold medalist with Team USA in the 3 vs. 3 World Championships. She is also a highly accomplished medical professional, currently working as an Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner at CU Sports Medicine. 

Coach Abromaitis took over the program ahead of the 2023-24 season and led our Sun Devils to back-to-back Sweet 16 appearances in her first two years at the helm. Then in her third year, the Sun Devils had their best finish in school history—making it all the way to the 4A state title game and finishing as the state runner-up. 

More important than on court success, however, is the valuable life lessons learned by those who come through her 6th-12th grade program. Players will come to appreciate both the successes and challenges that come with competition, while embracing core values such as teamwork and sportsmanship.
