Boys TennisKent Denver boys tennis teams have won 14 state championships—most recently in October 2024—and have finished as the state runner-up an additional eight times. Sun Devil athletes have also won seven individual state titles over the last two seasons.

At the start of the 2022 season, Kent Denver welcomed accomplished tennis professional Ian Hintz as the school’s new boys varsity tennis coach and program leader. With over 20 years of experience in racquet sports, Hintz has already helped lead the school to back-to-back-to-back state titles (2022, 2023 & 2024) and was also named CHSAA's 4A Coach of the Year in each of his first three seasons! In 2025, he helped lead the Sun Devils to a state runner-up finish in class 4A. 

"I love helping players learn how to truly enjoy the game of tennis as a lifelong sport, and I love how all of the lessons the game teaches us on the court are applicable to our daily lives off the court,” Hintz says.
