- World Class Courses
Kent Denver Upper School offers over 55 courses in the visual and performing arts, allowing students to explore different mediums of creative expression and develop mastery in their practice under the guidance of world-class faculty.
- Innovation Scholars
Advanced students can apply for the Innovation Scholars Arts Track to develop an individualized capstone project in the arts during their 11th and 12th-grade years.
- Senior Collab
The Senior Collab is a course that enables 12th-graders to incubate a public-facing personal artist website that represents their creative identity and features their body of work.
- Teaching Assistantships
Advanced students can apply for teaching assistantships for introductory and intermediate Upper School arts classes, expanding their mastery of the content area, creating a student leadership opportunity in the arts, developing a creative pedagogy, and experiencing a direct tutorial with the faculty instructor.
- Applied Practicums
Through practicums and independent studies, students can hone in on their creative curiosities in tangible ways that influence and inform their portfolios. By working directly on creative projects, students develop an independent artistic identity through hands-on learning experiences.
- College Counseling
Kent Denver’s college counselors provide in-depth support in navigating the college application process. In close collaboration with Arts faculty, students receive individualized support in developing their application portfolios and auditions.
- Summer Internships
Summer at Kent Denver’s robust arts programming provides student-interns the opportunity to build their resume and work professionally in the arts, by assisting in summer classes and productions.
