Step-by-Step Application Checklist

• Step 1: Access Your Clarity Account
  • New Families: Create a secure account through clarityapp.com.
  • Returning Families: Log in using your existing Clarity username and password. Creating a duplicate profile or having a second parent/guardian open a new account will delay processing and may impact your priority renewal timeline.
     
• Step 2: Complete Application Form & Pay Fee
  • Fill Out Information: The application takes less than 30 minutes to complete, works on mobile devices and lets you save your progress so you can return anytime. Fill out all income, expense, asset and liability fields. Enter all information on the Clarity application carefully and thoroughly. The omission of any required information will delay the calculation of financial need and may reduce the aid award.
  • Estimates Allowed: If final tax figures are incomplete by the deadline, submit your Clarity application using accurate estimates. Do not delay your submission, as late files risk losing priority funding.
  • Application Fee & Waivers: Clarity charges a $65 fee per household, covering all children in your family applying to any Clarity school. If this fee presents a hardship, email Dawn Mohatt in the Financial Aid Office to request a fee waiver code prior to submitting your file.

• Step 3: Complete Clarity's Enhanced Tax Verification | en Español
  • Upon payment, complete the IRS authorization in Clarity (or via IRS.gov) to grant secure access to tax transcripts. Step-by-step instructions can be found here | en Español.
  • Upload a valid government-issued photo ID as prompted by the portal.
     
• Step 4: Upload Required 2026 Tax Documents
  • Upload all 2026 W-2s and 1099 forms (if applicable) to Clarity by January 31, 2027. Financial aid applications will not be considered complete without these forms. 
  • Check your portal or email regularly for additional document requests from Clarity or the Financial Aid Office.

Important Things to Note

• An application is complete only when the Clarity form is fully submitted and all required 2026 tax documents are uploaded and verified in the portal.
• Completed applications received by the deadline receive first priority for available financial aid funding. 
  • Returning family deadline: December 31, 2026
  • New family deadline: January 25, 2027
• Applications completed or submitted after the deadline forfeit priority status, are placed on a financial aid waitlist and are reviewed on a rolling basis, pending admission status only as remaining funds permit after initial awards are finalized.
