The Tiny Farm is built on an acre and a quarter of Kent Denver School's beautiful campus. The Tiny Farm works to bring hands-on, innovative outdoor education to children ages 7-10 years by exploring elements of sustainabilityfarm to school curriculumgardening, composting, and best-practice land use and animal care. Small animal sheds, two full organic gardens with plants grown from native Colorado seeds, developing fruit trees, a composting display, a variety of eco-systems, and a wonderful selection of child-friendly animals all pack the Tiny Farm with outstanding opportunities for learning, community, connections to land, farming and friendship

The Tiny Farm Day Camp provides an inspiring and innovative farm and ecological learning experience for children and families in the following ways:

  • Most activities are done in groupings of 10-12 students, offering small group and individualized experiences, community building and hands-on learning in a safe and community-centered environment.
  • Several camp weeks conclude with parent and friend sharing, as well as a farm tour.
  • The Tiny Farm curriculum is designed to meet the learning and emotional needs of children ages 7-10 years.  Our camp activities will include environmental studies, hayrides, exercises in elements of sustainability, seed sovereignty, caring animal husbandry, nature crafts, and community building through outdoor and indoor games and activities, all while inspiring the development of environmental, global citizens.
  • Students will learn to safely interact with animal friends including rabbits, goats, ponies, chickens and, in some weeks, baby chicks!
