It started with a question from Head of School Rand Harrington: What can we do better?
The answers—submitted by students, teachers, parents and alumni—created room for a bold vision to fundamentally transform the Kent Denver experience. That vision gave rise to The Next 100 Years Capital Campaign. And the Campaign galvanized the entire community to a level unprecedented in the school's 97-year-history.
It's taken just over three years to raise more than $27 million of the Campaign's $31 million goal—a pace that Director of Development Phil Klein calls "unbelievably inspiring."
Every member of the community was invited to support the Campaign in August. Based on families' enthusiasm to join the effort and contribute their best possible gifts, Mr. Klein is confident Kent Denver will raise the final amount needed to close the gap this school year.
"What makes this community so strong is that we recognize the value of every family's participation in an effort like this," Mr. Klein says. "Every Campaign gift of any size makes a meaningful difference and every student will benefit, both today and long into the future."
