The playoffs are heating up, and there is lots of good news from athletics this week!
Girls' Golf dominated at regionals, winning by 54 strokes over their closest rival. Charlotte Hillary '20 led the way, shooting an astonishing 64, or seven under par. The team will compete at state later this month.
Boys' Lacrosse won in the first round of the 5A playoffs on Tuesday, beating Lakewood by a 9-6 margin on DeSo Field. The Sun Devils will take on Rock Canyon in the quarterfinals on Saturday, May 11 (game time TBD) at Legacy Stadium.
Also on Tuesday, Girls' Lacrosse won their opening round playoff game against Dakota Ridge by a score of 15-14. The team will play in the quarterfinals on Friday, May 10 at 5:30 p.m. at Pine Creek High School.
Girls' Soccer, which currently has a 14-1 record, scored 10 goals in on their way to a dominating first-round win over DSST College View. They will play again at home on Saturday, May 11 at noon against Manitou Springs.
Girls' Tennis swept their regionals and will play in the 4A state tournament in Pueblo on Friday and Saturday. .
After several weather cancellations, Kent Denver Baseball still has a few games left in the regular season. Catch them at home on Friday, May 10 or Monday, May 13; both games start at 4:30 p.m.
Track and Field is also wrapping up their regular season. The team will compete in their final meet—the St. Vrain Invitational at Longmont High School—on Saturday. This will be track athletes' final opportunity to qualify for the 3A state meet.
