Ready for the Start of School? Important Info for Families

The start of school is just around the corner! Following are important back to school resources for KDS families. We look forward to having your student back on campus soon!

BACK TO SCHOOL PLANNER
Important planning information, including supply lists, fall trip dates and other details may be found in the 2019-20 Back to School Planner. Click here to access the Planner via the MyKDS Parent Portal. Having trouble logging in? Email iitsupport@kentdenver.org.

SUMMER READING

Kent Denver faculty feel that summer should be a time to recharge and rediscover reading for pleasure. Students can peruse and search recommendations from Kent Denver students, faculty and staff in our online Books We Recommend, which is also accessible to students through Canvas.

In the Middle School, summer reading balances choice with a desire to give students at each grade level a common reading experience with which to begin the year. Students will read one required text, one book from a list of faculty recommendations and at least one title of their own choosing.

HEALTH FORMS
Parents, it's not too early to complete your child's electronic health information for the 2019–20 school year. Click here to access the Magnus Health Portal, located in the Parent Portal. Log in with your *NEW* MyKDS username and password.

For returning students, current Magnus forms expired on June 4 and need to be re-acknowledged or updated by ASAP. All students are required to have a current physical—one taken within the last 365 days—and proof of immunizations to participate in school activities, including sports practices, class retreats and class trips.

With Upper School fall sports practices beginning on August 12, it is particularly important to complete your child's health information in the Magnus Health Portal as soon as possible. If you need assistance or have questions, please contact Stephanie Kyser in the Athletics Office.
