Volleyball, Cross Country Teams Take First Place in Weekend Tournaments

The fall sports season is flying by and Kent Denver is already having great success!

Over Labor Day weekend, the boys' and girls' cross country teams competed at 10,500 feet elevation at the Lake County Cross Country Invitational in Leadville, Colorado. The girls took first place as a team, with four Sun Devils finishing in the top seven individually. Molly Zann '25 won the girls' high school event, while Charlie Halverson '22 led the way for Kent Denver with a fifth-place finish in the boys' division.

Cross country wasn't the only Kent Denver team to return to school this week with a tournament victory.

The Sun Devils' volleyball team continued its undefeated season by winning the Chaparral Showcase at the Gold Crown Fieldhouse in Lakewood. The team went 4-0 on its way to first place in the tournament, improving to 6-0 overall on the year. Setter Kinaree Eichner '25 was named to the All-Tournament team for her impressive performance.
