Kent Denver Wraps Up Exciting Summer

Even over summer break, Kent Denver's campus was still lively and full of fun learning and development! Summer at Kent Denver welcomed a record 1,800+ campers ages 3-18 over the course of seven weeks, with nearly 100 exciting offerings in the arts, athletics, our Tiny Farm Day camp, academics, innovation and technology. Our 2022 camps provided so many incredible opportunities for families across the Metro Denver area, and it's all thanks to the hard work of the KDS summer leadership team, teachers, coaches and volunteers. Registration for 2023 summer camps will open in early January!

Meanwhile, Breakthrough Kent Denver just completed its 28th summer of learning and teaching! This year, the program served nearly 200 students from more than 75 metro-area middle and high schools. These students received 28 days of additional summer academic instruction, while Breakthrough's 30 teaching fellows received valuable hands-on classroom experience. The program’s success was also made possible by the volunteers—including many Kent Denver students—who provided more than 2,000 volunteer hours supporting program operations.

This summer also saw great work toward completing the transformation of several areas on campus, including the area to the west of Bogue Common Room. These bright, modern and fully-renovated spaces will host the MidFirst Student Bank, Breakthrough offices and a new IIT tech support hub.
