Kent Denver School’s Response to COVID-19 Surge

Updated January 10, 2022

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Kent Denver School has prioritized the health and safety of our community while making every effort to maintain the in-person learning and extracurricular activities that are integral to the well-being of our students.

Due to the recent surge of COVID-19 infections caused by the Omicron variant, we are taking the following additional steps to protect our students, families, teachers, administrators and the greater community:

  • Limiting Campus Visitors
    • During this time of heightened risk, Kent Denver’s campus will be closed to most outside visitors.
      • Athletics: Currently, no spectators are allowed at on-campus games. Game livestreams can be found at
      • Admission: While our campus is temporarily closed to visitors, our Admission Office will host a series of Zoom-based webinars and provide other tools to allow families to virtually explore our campus, meet our students and teachers, and learn about our innovative programs.
Request information about KDS and our admission process.
  • Weekly Testing for Students, Faculty and Staff
    • For the next several weeks, Kent Denver will require weekly testing for all students and employees, regardless of vaccination status.
  • Updated Mask Policy
    • Kent Denver will continue to require indoor masking at all times
    • For the time being, cloth masks are no longer permitted.
      • All employees must wear an N95 mask—or equivalent KN95 or KF94—while indoors on campus.
      • Students must wear disposable, well-fitted surgical masks or, preferably, highly-protective N95/KN95/KF94 while indoors on campus.
