The Board of Trustees is delighted to announce the appointment of David Braemer as Kent Denver’s next Head of School, effective July 1, 2022. He will succeed Dr. Rand Harrington, who is stepping down at the end of the school year following eight successful years leading Kent Denver and transforming our campus and programs.
"We have found in David an impressive blend of integrity, vision, thoughtfulness and experience in key areas of strategic focus," said Board President Kristin McKissick. "He is truly the right leader to guide Kent Denver School as we embark on our second century of offering extraordinary educational experiences to our students."
With more than 30 years of experience in education as a teacher and administrator, including 10 years as Head of School at Ensworth School in Nashville, Mr. Braemer is well-positioned to lead Kent Denver School as it prepares to celebrate its 100th year.
"Kent Denver is clearly in a position of strength within the independent school world and can take tremendous pride in all that it has accomplished,” Mr. Braemer said. “At the same time, if we are to live the school’s mission of ‘Transforming lives of students and community through extraordinary educational experiences,’ there will always be work to do. I relish the opportunity to be an integral part of this process."
