Class of 2022 Weighs College Choices

The Class of 2022 is wrapping up their last few weeks on campus before they depart for Career Internship Experiences or Senior Projects in mid-May. As is always the case, this year’s seniors are filled with a mix of nostalgia and excitement about finalizing their plans for next year!

Since their sophomore year, members of the class have been working with College Counselors Slade Burns, Matt Doyle and Jessica Raab to explore a wide array of post-secondary options, including gap year opportunities and applying to colleges and universities in the United States and around the globe. After receiving acceptances to nearly 180 schools, many seniors are now in the final stages of choosing the next step on their path.

“Although the pandemic created some new complexities in the college search, we encouraged our seniors to stay focused on a few simple concepts, including defining what is most important to them and finding schools that align with those values,” explained Ms. Raab, who also serves as the school’s Director of College Counseling. “Seniors used this intentional experience to create a balanced application list, and we are delighted that they have so many choices as a result.”
