Amanda Licht '22 Named MaxPreps/NFCA National High School Player of the Week

Amanda Licht '22 has been named the first MaxPreps/National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) High School Player of the Week for the 2021 fall sports season.

Licht, a senior at Kent Denver who plays softball for Cherry Creek High School, is being honored for her incredible play during the week of August 16–22. She started the season on a tear—hitting .867 in 15 at bats with five home runs and 17 RBI through her first five games.

Licht is a star athlete in multiple sports. She plays basketball for Kent Denver and also competes for the school in track and field. In her junior year with the Sun Devils, she led the girls' varsity basketball team in scoring and came in fifth place at state in the shot put.

The NFCA is the professional growth organization for fastpitch softball coaches from all competitive levels of play, while MaxPreps.com specializes in coverage of high school sports in the U.S.

Player of the Week honors are announced every Monday on NFCA.org during the fall season.
