Students Receive Scholastic Art Awards

The 2021 Colorado Scholastic Art Awards were announced this week, and nine Kent Denver students received special recognition for visual art, earning 10 Gold Key, one Silver Key and one Honorable Mention awards. Congratulations to Danielle R. '23 (Gold Key in Digital Art), Alexa M. '21 (three Gold Keys: Drawing & Illustration, Mixed Media, Painting), Chloe M. '23 (Gold Key and Honorable Mention in Jewelry), Isabella D. '23 (Gold Key in Mixed Media), Nicole D. '22, Annika M. '24, Kathryn P. '23 and Veronica S. '24 (Gold Key in Photography), and Elise T. Five Kent Denver students were recognized for their writing, earning three Silver Key and two Honorable Mention awards. Congratulations to Lauren P. '23 (Silver Key in Personal Essay & Memoir), Frances M. '22 (Silver Key in Poetry), Jamison P. '21 (Honorable Mention in Poetry), Grace H. '21 (Honorable Mention in Short Story) and Kate M. '23 (Silver Key in Short Story).

These students will receive Certificates of Merit, and their work will be shown in a virtual, regional exhibition through March. Gold Key award-winning art will then travel to New York for judging at the national level. Congratulations to these talented artists and writers!
